Introduction – What is SIR 2026?
Special Intensive Revion (SIR) 2026
- Every eligible Indian citizen is included
- No duplicate, dead, shifted, or ineligible voter remains
- Voter data is accurate, verified, and mapped correctly
- Smart Voter ID cards are issued to verified voters
Critical Note:SIR is conducted after a long gap of 21 years (last SIR was 2002–2004).

Who is Eligible to be a Voter?
A person must:
- 1.Be a Citizen of India
- 2.Be 18 years or older
- 3.Be an ordinary resident of the constituency
- 4.Not be disqualified under any law
Key Officials Involved
Booth Level Officer (BLO)
- •One BLO per polling station (~1000 voters)
- •Conducts door-to-door verification
- •Distributes & collects Enumeration Forms
- •Makes minimum 3 house visits
Electoral Registration Officer (ERO)
- •SDM-level officer
- •Prepares Draft & Final Electoral Rolls
- •Decides claims & objections
Appeal Authorities: DM (1st Appeal), CEO (2nd Appeal)
